Shanghai, China - Shanghai MicroPort Endovascular MedTech (Group)Co., Ltd. (Endovastec™), has obtained the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System Certificate after passing the assessment by the Conformity Assessment Certification Body. To date, Endovastec™ has developed an increasingly comprehensive management system after having passed a series of system certifications including for quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety management, brand cultivation management, and intellectual property management, as well as the CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) laboratory certification.


The ISO 50001 Energy Management System, which is developed by the ISO/PC 242 Energy Management Committee of the International Organization for Standardization, is designed to implement action plans to reduce energy consumption, achieve energy targets and performance indicators, and identify, document and address various opportunities for energy performance improvement to achieve energy savings.


In April 2021, upon receiving the company’s application for the energy management system, the certification audit team conducted a multi-faceted on-site review and comprehensive assessment of its energy-consuming equipment list and statistical reports following relevant system standards. Finally, the team gave high recognition to the company’s achievements in energy consumption reduction, comprehensive energy utilization, energy review and continuous improvement, and concluded that Endovastec™ has passed the certification requirements for ISO 50001:2018 energy management system.


Over the years, Endovastec™ has been committed to energy conservation, emission reduction, and energy system management. The company has set up an internal review team and carried out a series of work, including compiling documents for the energy management system, standardizing compliance to energy laws and regulations, organizing staff training on energy conservation, and carrying out internal audits and management reviews, to ensure that all the efforts on energy management system have been efficiently promoted. In addition, building on its internal energy management practices, the company has introduced more advanced energy management technology and experience to reduce energy consumption and production costs, as a means to promote green and low-carbon development within the company. By establishing the energy management system, Endovastec™ has realized real-time monitoring and management of energy data and promoted the development of a long-term energy-saving mechanism. In the future, Endovastec™ will continue to improve the energy management system for greater economic and social benefits, and ultimately for promoting the company’s sustainable development.
